heys guys...finally got a chance to blog...almost forgot that i haf a blog...haha its been more than a month since i last blogged...lotsa of pple haf been complainin so i am back once a gain..hee
well, jus came back from HK on tue nite...went on the 22nd and came back on the 25th...went wif wonderful pple like jh, hy and bain, we had a great time navigatin HK...all by ourselves and a map...glad we were all geog students in sec sch..hee we stayed in Dorsett seaview hotel which is located in Yau Ma Tei, near the infamous temple street...the hotel rooms were terribly small, the smallest romms i haf ever been to. There were no space to even leave our luggage outside and me and jh had to squeeze into the wardrobe meant fer our clothes...and everytime we get back to our rooms we jus haf to dump all our shoppin bags on th beds...sighz but its ok cos we oni need the rooms to rest at nite and most of the time we are outside...besides the rooms, the lobby was also non-existent...with jus a recept and a corner fer 6 seats and a table...pathetic rite?
The first hafl day, we decided to walk to "Avenue of the stars",where we wanted to wanted the beautiful nite view of hong kong island opposite the straits...its was a long walk and we went to gransville street to shop...cos hy noe the shoppin there is good...the 3 of them bought a lot clothes...its scary...hee in the end we reached the "Avenue" ard 9 took some pictures of the nite view and went ard lookin at the handprints of the stars like andy lau, jackie chan etc...it was nice and there were music accompanyin us as we walked down the stretch of pavement...saw lotsa couples too...hee
On the 2nd day, we took a ferry and crossed over to hong kong island...hopped onto their public buses and went all the way up to the peak...the view on the bus was simply fantastic...buildings that looked real tall on ground level become lego sizes...hee went up hill and took pictures...the air up the peak was also cooler than downhill. On the way down, we took a tram and it was real steep...asked a guy whom we tot was a staff of the tram to help us take photo but it turned out that he wasn't...haha cant be helped la...his dressin reallie made him look like a staff...hee
After the peak, we intended to go to ocean park but it was expensive to go there and the entrance fees wasn't cheap too, so we decided to go to causeway bay instead. Boarded a double decker bus that has no roof on the 2nd level...jus like wat we always seen on hk drama serial and i got super excited...took pictures...as usual...hee after that we changed to another aircon bus which took us to causeway bay and we went to victoria park where we managed to catch the teddy bear exibition...it was real cool as the bears were painted and each bear represented a different country's unique look...it was another round of hoo-ha and more pictures taken...hee
Times sq was disappointin cos we oni managed to window shop...nothing was worth buyin as its quite ex and we can always get them in singapore...hee
on the 3rd day, we went to shen zhen...can u imagine, 4 gals, knew nothin and we jus whacked our way to shen zhen...took a cab to "Windows of the world" and went ard sight-seein...took an adventure ride cos jh and hy were like persuadin me...was reluctant but i cant bear to shao xing...both me and bain were scared stiff la...tinkin wat we haf gotten ourselves into...so when the cabins starting goin up a steep gradient, me and bain were like: Shit...tis time die alreadie...cos how we go up, how we come down...lucky it wasn't that bad but i could hear bain screamin beside me...i even had to tell her to open her eyes to see the lights...aniwae i was still scared and my legs felt wobbly after the ride...reallie kah neng lar...hee but i was glad i took the ride still...hee
After that, we went to some place to shop...cant reallie rem the place alreadie...bought a pair of fake puma shoes at at ard 13 bucks and i was happie alreadie...the remainin of the the time was spent walkin from shop to shop wif them...in the end everyone got our shoes and we made our way back to the railway station to head back to our hotel...
The last day, we woke up the latest...left the hotel at 9 plus i guess...cant reallie rem...walked to a restaurant to haf dim sum breakfast and it was reallie good...tot it was the best meal in HK...simply love the xiao long bao there...hehe tinkin of it jus makes me start droolin now...haha after the breakfast, we took a train to kowloon bay cos i needed to get some shortcake fer sharon, my colleague from card centre...so we went to festive walk fer shoppin and i bought an esprit bag at a real bargain...its oni costs 27 sing dollar and the price here was like 69 bucks...real happie at the good buy thou...hee thank bain! afyer shoppin, we were left with more than an hr and jh and hy were askin me and bain to try ice skatin cos there is a rink there...i was a bit reluctant but in the end decided to gif it a try if its cheaper than singapore...checked out and it cocts the same as singapore so we went to buy the short cakes instead...and it was there that i declared bankrupt...completely finished my HK dollar except fer enuff to take train back and to afford a roasted pigeon later...
Since we were early by the time we reached mongkok, we decided to try our luck in finding roasted pigeon cos when we watch zhen qing, they always show the family eatin it fer supper so we(except bain and haf of jh)were dying to try...boutght the pigeon and took a cab back to Dorsett seaview...wanted to eat it in the hotel lobby cos we checked out alreadie but we were not allowed so we decided to pack our luggage b4 goin out to the park to eat our roasted pigeon(Yum Yum!)
Wanted to go mac to eat our pigeon but the waitress was so enthu in servin us that we couldn't bear to eat our food there...finished our fries and went outside to eat the pigeon...it was funny cos where i was sittin, i was act facin a group of pigeons as i was eatin their relative...sigh felt a bit bad but i couldn't care less...hee
went back to the hotel a little bit late but we managed to hop onto the bus and get to the airport...played cards while waitin fer the time to board the plane and then its home sweet home...missed my bed a whole lot and my phone was bombarded with smses...slept the whole of yesterdae and todae i am back at work...am at the tamp office but oni fer todae and tmr...din do much todae oso...hope will haf stuff to do later...tata
