Came back from YV camp yesterdae afternoon...phew, how i miss my bed and everything. Went to shower and had an early dinner cos mummy was afraid that i would refuse to wake up for dinner once i go to sleep (cos this always happens)...haha Went online for about 10 ten mins cos i wanted to blog b4 i sleep but the stupid blogger mus be down so i sian and went to Zzz lor...haha all the way until this mornin...good rite!! okie now i will gof a short recap of the camp la...i would rate it as a successful camp even though there were a few glitches here and there...
Day one (29th nov):
Was supposed to meet at 130 but Gavin told me the day b4 that that afternoon is on a talk on service learnin, which i haf been through at least twice, i decided to give it a miss and go down in the evenin la...in the end, i went down at 730 and realised it's a big mistake...felt so DAMN out there la...becos the 1st and 2nd day of the camp is fer the committee, team facilitators and helpers, everybody knows everybody cos they have been through this programme as participants in prvious years, except me ( this is my first time in YV). Felt so sian and reallie regretted being there on the 1st dae...
Feelin sian aside, pple from Marcomm and VMD (Volunteer management and development) were there to conduct an induction programme fer the TFs and helpers and it was quite well done i tot, but gavin asked to to tink of negative point to bring up fer the VMD meetin on mon...hmm, gotta crack my brain fer it alr...after the induction prg, those whu camp earlier since 130 went to shower and i entertained myself wif my free-incomin call la...and i managed to "spoil" a mini lamp post when i was chattin away...and it doesn't help that 3 gers were walkin towards me and darius was runnin in my direction..sian la...they all laughed at me while darius put back the lamp cover...haha lai yee suaned me abt until yesterdae lor...best!!
The debrief was sian as i hate debriefs, esp when they were so DAMN good at draggin it...aiyoh...its not effective anymore lor...sian!!! After the looooooong and draggy debrief, i went to tok to hongming abt the camp and stuff la then went to sleep at 2 plus...
Day 2 (30th nov):
Woke up nearing 8 and we did sang some campfire songs, learnt the YV song ( the rest knows noes the song alr, only i need to learn)...they say i am a fast learner...heehee well, wat to do??
i am yvonne leh...haha!!! After that, the comm briefed us some stuff and we tried out some of the games and basically that's abt it fer dae 2 la..went home at nite and i wanna thank Lihui fer sendin me to bt timah to take bus...it made the journey home much much faster!!
Day 3 (1st dec):
Woke up at 645 cos i need to meet participants at CCK mrt at 8...and as usual, i was late and reached at abt 830....sighz, so much fer wakin up early...had Macs breakfast and went back to Greenridge sec...played games and the comm briefed the participants...after that went fer lunch...more toks and i taught them simple magic tricks and i tried to teach them how to do origami tulip...it was a flop la, gotta ask peihoon and my master, hongming to help me...hiaz, i need a guy to teach me origami...wat is the world comin to??? haha
After that, they got more talks, Marcomm gave a tok on SVC (Student volunteer corps) and showed a video on YV 2000...haha then after that eunice olsen (yes, the wheel of fortune one) came to gif inspirational talk....she talked of how she started volunteerin after ms universe and her experiences at toa payoh girls' home...quite inspirin i tot...haha and she is damn tall and despite wearin long pants, her legs looked damn good!!! haha
After all the talks, it was time fer dinner and shower and it was time fer moving images, whereby the participants were made to watch 4 clips and pen down their tots accordin to the qn in their files...hee i got an easy job, jus need to ask them fer their opinions...hee sometime into it, it was time fer sing idol and there were alot of hoo haa when taufik was announced the winner..yeah!! i was damn happie la...taufik deserves to win...he is like so much betta that that ah beng sly la...haha after that it was nights out but TFs and helpers still got debrief and i was seriously buay song abt it cos they started late and keep on draggin...by the time i got to bathe, it was alr 1am la..sian leh!! after that went to chit chat wif hongming, gavin, william and zhi hao...kenna suaned like mad by william and zhihao...but i managed to strike back at them oso la...haha then ah ma came and we all decided to go and sleep cos dae 2 of the camp is gonna be veri xiong!!
Day 4 (2nd dec):
Had PT at 8 which was to dance the YV dance 3 times...was perspirin like mad after the dance...had nasi lemak fer breakfast and then it was "passing it on" where my group played untimate friskbee...whao, cannot make it...damn diff to play after 15 mins, i managed to psycho my group to go learn dancin...heh so that i can slack in the hall...no sun and got fans...hee
After "passing it on", we had problem based learnin which i had to act like an autistic kid...i like it cos veri easy..no need to tok, jus stare into blank space...haha jus stone there and keep repeatin the things i was doin like foldin the origami over and over aagin...hee...then got this participant, dunno wat is his name, started callin me the autistic kid whenever he see me...hiaz...
Followin that, it was time fer them to learn the YV song as well as some common campfire songs to fer campfire later at nite...then it was lunch and they slacked fer a while...attended a workshop on wheelchair that was conducted by vick...it was pretty good except that it was a little long and i urgently needed to go to the toilet...haha so noe i now how to handle wheelchairs...hopefully i can still remember in future...like goin up the steps outside, goin over drains etc...tink its rather useful to learn such skills...we'll never know when we need to push the wheelchair bound...
It was station games after that and i got drippin wet not from the water bomb game cos i was the queen and was runnin ard, poor clara was blockin me and she got damn wet la...can u believe it,i got wet from the scissors paper stone game cos this participant from the opp team poured a bucket of water over me...basket!! sighz...the stattion games were fun, get to sit in a wheelchair and play captains ball...reallie felt handicapped cos i haf to tink b4 i turn my wheelchair cos got method one...had to hold on to the wheel of the direction i wan to turn...but it was fun!!
After station games, it's the diability challenge which was interestin too...i managed to slack cos i am a normal person...no need to be disabled...so fun!! i can jus walk ard at will, jus need to make sure everyone is safe and be the station master fer one of the station...easily la...
After that it was time fer dinner, a veri much delayed dinner cos the games and disability challenge dragged on...finished dinner and we planned fer the "one min of fame" thingy and there were a lot of cheerin goin on cos the campfire was set up late due to the rain...sighz The campfire started proper ard 10 and ended at 12 plus...then the comm came up with a mystery game which we need to find the murderer of the chairperson...hiaz, that went on fer more than an hr and yah...tok to hm and gavin fer a while and in the meantime, i managed to finish a mars bar and a quarter of ruffles...haha
At abt 3 plus, i decided it was time to shower and i saw yixuan, passed her another packet of ruffles and she wanted to tell me wat her fren heard when she was showerin alone...i decided not to listen to it lest i scared later..haha heard the school not clean too so i went away after that...haha glad i never listen cos i went to shower alone...heng ar!! haha
When i feel all clean and smell good, went over to the TF and helper table and sat down while they play daidee...hee then after that got pple whu know how to play bridge and went to play bridge...zhihao taught william how to play and the 4 of us, gavin, zh, william and me practically played from 4 to 8 plaus in the mornin...haha damn fun cos i was on a winnin streak...haha paired wif zh fer alot of games and we were like the best partners la...haha was his partner fer 5 to 6 games then it changed to gavin then i partnered william fer one game and that was the only game he won...haha best!!! i am jus that good la...haha
Fell asleep on the table at ard 830 and the guys had a damn hard time wakin me up...it took them 45 mins man!! haha hmm, din noe that the table can be such a nice place to fall asleep on...well, i told gavin that i can sleep anywhere one...haha now i tink he got no choice but to believe...haha

On the bus home ya, i fell asleep and maybe i looked quite pathetic and soundly asleep, this uncle in his 40s tapped my bag and asked me where i wan to alight so that he can wake me up when i reach...haha wat a samaritian...haha but i told him its ok cos i am reachin..hee...went home took a shower and dunch and came online fer a while b4 goin to Sleep....all the way until this mornin...haha
**Basically, that's all fer the week!! Lookin forward to my attachment to Sun Dac Chai Chee...okie gtg now, my poor bro txe xian waitin like siao alr...haha
