I am a lucky girl.
Feel reallie blessed at the yacht club todae. Except for the minor screw up with the dumb taxi driver whu insisted that the SAF Yacht club and Sea sports club are at the same place, then dropped me at the wrong place. But its ok, the shuttle was actually on his way to tanah merah (the place i took the cab from) and then back to SAFYC. So i ended up at the right place after a little detour. On the way, chatted with a staff from the SAFYC who happen to be teachin sailing at the Sea Sports Club. He is damn funny, actually asked me if i were a sailing instructor too...i was like, no, i am too fair to be one...haha
But the blessing in disguise is yet to come. Firdaus helped me check the timin for the shuttle bus to get me to tanah merah interchange but the dumb shuttle dun follow the timin at all, and told the reception that they dunno when they will return, best la!! And the receptionist wasn't the least helpful, she jus said, "Cab?" Damn!!
I called the cab operator and after waitin fer 2 rounds of music, no cabs wanted to come into the ulu pandan part of singapore to pick me. No choice, either i walk out to get a cab (abt 4 km from the mainroad i tink), or hitch a ride. I chose the latter, for obvious reasons. And my first attempt was successful, the uncle agreed readily and even joked, " Welcome to my mercedez (it's a toyota)" and we laughed if off. I was seriously veri happie abt and tot my luck couldn't have been betta. So the sayin that good things come after a misfortune is true! I can feel it comin...betta things on the way man!!
So i happily got a ride to expo and i conclude that i am a lucky ger! It was also great chattin to the uncle who said that he is lookin for an accountant after hearin that i am pursuing an acct degree. haha and I asked him whether he would prefer a SMU or NTU acct grad, he told me he prefers Malaysian grads. Ok, so to all out there, this is a siren man, our future rice bowls may well be snatched by our frens over on the other side of the causeway.
