First and foremost, i wanna thank sue ann fer invitin me to jz's commissionin parade...first time goin to one and its reallie quite an experience...jus realised how freakin big SAFTI can be when u are in a hurry...ended up sittin in the first row with the big TV in front of us. Was tryin to help sue locate jz but its reallie difficult when he is in the squad behind tha air force and i dun have bionic eyes ya...and the worst thing is they all look the same with the uniform and cap, was tryin to find the darkest guy ard but sadly, the guy whom i can make out to be darker happened to be an indian...hiaz, cheers!!
Well, so far so good, saw a few familar faces at the parade...got peeps like kin fei, crystal (I hope i rem the name correctly), ivy and jacklyn and another ger whom i found damn damn familar but i cant rem where i know her from so i jus smile at her and she jus smiled back...until now i still cant figure out how i know her and cos of wat oso...my memory is failin me ya :( Hmm, but the thing that i wan to bitch abt is wat happened after the parade when me and sue want to get back to boon lay mrt. Jz say got free shuttle bus that will bring us to boon lay mrt, and i was happie to hear that cos that would mean we could save on cab fare...haha went to the place where jz directed us to "u all walk that way, behind the red house" and so we went there and saw a small group of pple oso waitin fer the bus so we jus joined in the wait. One bus came and left, one cadet stod opp and left after the first bus left, the 2nd bus came and left and we are like fools waitin opp the road...we were like duh??? so instead of being passive, we deicided to wake towards the direction which the buses were comin from so that we could board the next bus. Once we started walkin, the rest also followed us cos they saw no point continuin their wait at the no bus "bus-stop". After abt 5 mins of walk, we reached carpark G where another 2 cadets were stationed so sue asked where can we get to the pick-up point for the shuttle bus out of SAFTI and they said "it's veri far leh", then we told him of wat happened and he said "ok, we will get the buses to change the pick-up point to here, give us FIVE minutes". Ok, great so they are gettin the buses over instead of us walkin to the correct pick-up point.
One bus came, stopped and left, the 2nd came and likewise, left. By then i was pissed alr, i was like come on, we can get up the bus, its full..yes, but there is the aisle fer us to stand my dear OCS trainees!!! I couldn't take the sight of more buses leavin without me so i told the 2 cadets that we can all stand, its better than us jus waitin there and more and more pple are gatherin by then. The next bus came and the guy tried to get us up and that's when i saw the bureaucracy and and inflexibility of the army...
Cadet A: Let them all go up the bus, they can stand.
Cadet on the bus: Who say one? All must seat, they cannot stand.
A: I say...there are many pple waitin, jus let them go up
Cadet on the bus: Warrant say cannot leh, say no matter wat nobody can stand...sorrie, reallie cannot
A: Jus let them go up, can one
Cadet on the bus: Cannot cannot...
Civilian A: Jus let us get up and leave this place, why are u so inflexible? how can u protect the country like that? (committin the fallacy of missing the point, but i dun care...)
There were alot more exchanges whereby the civilian was reprimandin the cadet on the bus...
Civilian B: (walked over in a fashionable way, wave to the cadet on the bus) Jus close the door and go...jus go...
So the bus went without us...AGAIN!!
Finally, an indian came and aparently he had some kinda rank la...the next bus that came, he say let us all go up the bus. He will answer...i was like, finally someone whu can tink properly...so yeap, after half an hr of turmoil, we all got up the bus...So much fer operational readiness when they are so inflexible...y follow blindly when u can react accordin to circumstance? Why...sometimes i wonder wat goes on in their grey matter...i wonder...
Well, enuff of the spoilers..i went down to town to have s45 class gatherin...was damn hungry when i reached but ended up takin photos and chattin with everyone at some walkway...haha sure am VERI VERI happie fer Wan Xin...congrats ger, fer finding ur guy...hmm, never tell me earlier...my nick reallie sound so busy that u dun dare to even drop me a msg meh?? but well, i am reallie happie fer ya, i wan to see his pictures okies :) I like happie stories, sad stories, pls go away...PLEASE!!!
hmm, reallie glad to see the class again, but bro, u look rather tired and off todae..u ok? apart from the lack of sleep i hope nothin is botherin ya :) Am lookin forward to the all gers trip in may...after that i can open travel agency alr...organise hols fer other pple...earn monies...hee okies time to go orh orh alr...nite
