In our mundane life where every week is jus a repeat of last week and today a routine of yesterdae, how do we inject some excitment? To some, this post might seem as a means for me to justify my lack of punctuality, but it is actually source of adrenlin for me. Weird as you might think i am.
Well, this feeling kinda struck me when i was walkin to sch to meet the usual gang for lunch. i knew i was early, or rather very on time and i made myself walk slowly. There was no urgency and speed became a detriment. There was no motivation to move fast at all. Compare this to wed when i woke up 10 mins before class is suppsed to start.
P.S: I don't have a hostel to stay in.
Needless to say, even though the prof teaching that morning is a very nice and easy to bully prof, i felt a sense of urgency to rush down to sch. The issue here is not whether who i was being seen as late to but rather the fact that i know i was late. The steps became strides and my whole body was filled with the "Flight" factor, as in i will def run for my bus if it comes while i was walking towards the bus stop.
Of couse, if the prof is someone like Mitch, the "fear factor" will be more but that is secondary. My point is being late, or almost late does have some pros. For one, it injects new things. It leads to creativity cos when you are late, you will start thinking of better routes to get to your destination. It promotes faster heartbeat, and that translates to better blood circulation (provided you do not have faint heart). You burn more fat cos you walk faster and might run if need be. And there are many many more that you can think of, i am sure.
As you can see, there are pros to being a latecomer. Just make sure you pant a lil when you finally reach ur destination. Haa
