Our first picture of the day. This picture is supposed to capture the Chi-na-looking building behind us but decided to take ourself instead...It is quite a happy picture, don't you think so? Haha...
Everytime i go to chinatown, i cannot help but notice this unit. Yellow flowers amongst the blue background, how can anyone miss this building? Hence, i decided to stop and take a photo of it while ally walked infront of me. The head at the bottom was unintentional...haha. Bad photography skills i guess. Haha
We were at Ann Siang road when i took this picture. I tell you, this road is damn cool! It was bought by a rich merchant who made his fortune being a storekeeper and bought this road when he became rich la, of course! Anyways, what's cool abt this place is that the shops here use back the signboards that were left behind since the late 1800s and early 1900s. The shophouses here used to house dialect houses and associations (aka hui4 guan3). It is really a sight to see modern shops with old signboards at the top. This is the essence of heritage preservation!
Ok, this is a shot i "stole". Can you guess what is this shop? It is the super super traditional sinseh shop where people go to when they have sprained their body etc...Ally laughed at me when i read 跌打 as tie1 da3...well, people make mistakes yeah. Behind the blue screen, there are 2 tables where people will seek sinsehs' advice. Too bad i din managed to take a picture of the scene behind the blue screen, u cannot believe how traditional the shop it. Go take a look if you are free, it is one of the shops at Ann Siang road.
This is us after walking for dunno how long to find a dessert shop...you noe, those kind of traditional dessert stall where they sell peanut paste, MANGO SAGO, almond paste etc...walked until ally says she will laugh until she die if we cannot find it upon following the instructions of a fren's fren...haha we din find the shop but ally still never laugh until she die leh...hahaha anyways, we look very energetic hor but in fact we were feeling sticky all over, feets were aching and totally exhausted...and this was not the shop we were looking for, just makin do cos really too sian and it was gettin late alr...actually we found the shop, but it was closed. So yeap, unlucky!
I took this picture at this very nice restaurant at Ann Siang road...just for fun cos i am using mozilla as my browser...the spelling quite similar ah...hehe
